    Maj. Gen. Jon M. Davis presents retired Lt. Gen. Philip D. Shutler a plaque thanking him for speaking to the Marine officers about the history of Marine aviation May 3, at Miller’s Landing consolidated club aboard Cherry Point. Shutler, who joined the Marine Corps in 1947, spoke to the crowd about what makes the Marine Corps unique, evoking historical examples from World War II, Korea, and today.
