U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Justin Abbate discusses the class schedule with the director of the Anbar Operations Center Security Battalion during a Key Leader Engagement at the Anbar Police Training Center (APTC) in Habbaniyah, Iraq, Sep. 15, 2019. Iraqi students go through a four-week Wide Area Security Forces class taught by Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) instructors assigned to the APTC who have been trained by Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve subject matter experts. The ISF students learn essential combat skills like first aid, tactical movement, urban operations, and counter improvised explosive device procedures to enhance the ISF’s combat skills and self-sufficiency.
