North Dakota Army National Guard 1st Sgt. Jeff Barta runs past the 20-mile mark of the Fargo Marathon, Fargo, N.D., as he carries the photo of North Dakota Army National Guard soldier Cpl. Nathan Goodiron on his back while running for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) Run and Remember Team. Goodiron was killed in action in Afghanistan. The TAPS team is running in the Fargo Marathon events in memory of military service members who died while in service to the United States military, and also to raise money for the TAPS programs that aid their survivors.
