A U.S. Airmen from the 7th Special Operations Squadron, 352nd Special Operations Wing, holds the tail scanner crew position, a position which falls in line with both loadmaster and aerial gunner duties, in the back of a CV-22 Osprey during Operation Dark Dune on Oct. 16, 2019, outside of Cazaux Air Base, France. Operation Dark Dune allows U.S. military the opportunity to train with ready and capable French military units, while increasing interoperability and familiarization within NATO special operations forces.
