VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Sept. 20, 2019) – Scientists and engineers from Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Dam Neck Activity and NSWCDD are pictured at Naval Air Station Oceana’s fourth annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Lab. They volunteered their time and talents to educate students through hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) displays. More than 7,000 fifth-graders from Chesapeake and Virginia Beach elementary schools participated in the event, breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest field trip on record.
