Lance Corporal Raymond Lopez, radio operator, guided a 6x6 variant of the Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle during Second Marine Division’s arrival aboard the Yermo Annex of Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., Sept. 27. The Marines moved more than 800 pieces of equipment from Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., to MCLB Barstow. That equipment will then be transported by truck to Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms, Calif., for a massive movement control exercise in November.
