Warrant Officer Jimmy Polk meets Lt. Gen. Russell C. Davis, Chief of the National Guard Bureau in Bosnia in 2001 where Polk was deployed with the Georgia Army National Guard’s 148th Forward Support Company. Davis was the first African American to serve as Chief of the National Guard Bureau.
