Gen. Michael X. Garrett, commander of U.S. Army Forces Command, and Col. Phil Brooks, commander of the First Infantry Division Forward (1ID FWD), stand in front of 'The Contact Layer' Oct. 29, 2019, during Garrett's visit to Camp Albertshof in Germany. The 1ID FWD is responsible for setting the theater for the Atlantic Resolve operation, and they are currently participating in Dragoon Ready, a multinational exercise held in Hohenfels Training Area. Garrett visited Soldiers to get an idea of the current state of readiness for FORSCOM units participating in the exercise.
