Lt. Col. Timothy Woods, a UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter pilot with the 2nd 285th Assault Helicopter Battalion, flies over the Phoenix, Ariz. Metropolitan area, along side Capt. Ryan Matchey, the Flight Operations Officer for the 2nd 285th AHB, Oct. 22, 2019. Pilots with the 2nd 285th AHB fly a variety of mission in the state, including fire-fighting efforts, VIP transportation, border support, medical evacuations and cargo transportation, working with state and local law enforcement, border patrol, and the Air Force.
