191031-N-HP195-2096 NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (Oct. 31, 2019) Vice Adm. James Malloy, left, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, U.S. 5th Fleet, Combined Maritime Forces, meets with representatives from various partner nations inside a field tent erected for the Command Post Exercise portion of IMX 19. The tents facilitate command and control of assets dedicated to the exercise, which is a multinational engagement involving partners and allies from around the world designed to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences across the full spectrum of defensive maritime operations. IMX 19 serves to demonstrate the global resolve in maintaining regional security and stability, freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce from the Suez Canal south to the Bab el-Mandeb Strait through the Strait of Hormuz to the Northern Arabian Gulf.
