    Recipients of the Expert Infantry Badge and Expert Soldier Badge wait to be pinned during 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division’s EIB and ESB award ceremony at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Oct. 31, 2019. “The EIB - which has always been skill level one soldier tasks, not infantry tasks - recognizes those individuals who have mastered skill level one tasks," said Sgt. Maj. Stephen Siglock, the brigade operations sergeant major who served as the non-commissioned officer in charge of the testing. “The ESB does the same thing for the rest of the Army formation outside of the infantry - to be recognized as expert Soldiers and experts at their craft.”
