Service members from the Coast Guard 14th District transfer the recently discovered remains of Lt. Thomas Crotty, who fought in the defense of the Philippines during World War II, to an Air Station Kodiak HC-130 Hercules airplane at Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii, Oct. 31, 2019. Crotty's remains will be flown to his hometown of Buffalo, New York, where Adm. Karl Schultz, the commandant of the Coast Guard, will preside over his burial.
