The KFOR Regional Command-East Non-Kinetic Battalion hosted its first change of command ceremony Oct. 26, 2019 at Camp Maréchal De Lattre De Tassigny, Kosovo. The NKBN says goodbye to Slovenian Lt. Col. Frank Srok and welcomes Slovenian Lt. Col Aleksander Vidergar.
The NKBN liaises with local authorities and non-government organizations, monitoring and ensuring the Kosovo region is a safe and secure environment. It aims to identify security, socio-economic and political situations in RC-East.
The NKBN operates with assets called Liaison Monitoring Teams, which significantly contribute to improving relationships among communities in the regional command, and aims to foster KFOR credibility with the local population.
