U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Jim Slife, commander of Air Force Special Operations Command, presents an AFSOC Spark Tank 2020 winner trophy to U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Nicholas Cervantes, 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron structural craftsman and U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Christopher Loke, 1st SOCES officer in charge of military contracting programs, at Hurlburt Field, Florida, Oct. 17, 2019. The team presented an idea of using Small Unmanned Aerial Systems to conduct rooftop inspections, saving civil engineer squadrons more than 1,000 hours in manual labor each year.
