Alan Steinhauer, the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, game warden, gives a hunting and fishing safety class at the training and education building, July 12, 2019. As the only conservation law enforcement officer at the air station, Steinhauer works seven days a week, performing all of the duties of the game warden. Those duties include maintaining the wildlife, giving hunting safety classes, responding and relocating wildlife in the various housing and training areas on the air station, and enforcing all applicable conservation laws and regulations on the air station and outlying training ranges.
