191104-N-WA745-1023 KOLONIA, Pohnpei (Nov. 4, 2019) Seabees deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NCMB) 5’s Detail Pohnpei listen to a speech by a founding father of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), during the FSM Independence Day celebration at the Kolonia Gymnasium in Pohnpei Nov. 4. The Seabees are providing humanitarian aid to the local community by finishing a medical facility, Nan U Dispensary, and performing renovations to multiple schools across the island. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
