NAVAL SUPPORT FACILITY REDZIKOWO, Poland (Oct. 29, 2019) – U.S. Navy Capt. Jon Grant, Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo’s commanding officer, hosted several senior Polish Navy officers and enlisted personnel from the nearby area for a tour of the new base Oct. 29, 2019. They were invited for a personal tour of the base to learn more about the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System (AAMDS), see the construction progress and gain a better understanding about the partnerships with the surrounding community. Once construction is completed, the Aegis Ashore site in Poland will expand a defensive capability that protects NATO European territories, populations and forces against ballistic missiles launched from outside the Euro-Atlantic region.
