CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti – U.S. Navy Capt. Valerie Riege, the chief innovation and integration officer at U.S. Navy, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, meets with Lt. Cmdr. James O’Connell, an anesthesiologist assigned to Navy Expeditionary Medical Facility aboard Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti Oct. 8, 2019. Riege traveled to Camp Lemonnier to discuss the possibilities, implementation and to outline the benefits of virtual health. Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to ensure security in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
