U.S. Marine Col. Robert Meade, commanding officer of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Southern Command, shakes the hand of Adolfo Natareno DeLeon, the director of Urbana Mixta, during a tour in Ocos, Guatemala, Nov. 7, 2019. Urbana Mixta is one of three school construction projects completed by the SPMAGTF. New additions to those schools included classrooms, electrical work, furniture, bathrooms and sinks. The task force is conducting training and engineering projects hand-in-hand with partner nation military members in Latin America and the Caribbean during their deployment to the region, which coincides with hurricane season.
