191106-N-QR336-5008 NARRA, Palawan (Nov. 6, 2019) Steelworker 3rd Class Taylor Myers, from Mead, Colorado, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Palawan, welds together reinforcing steel to support the makeshift concrete chute used during the concrete pour for the new two-classroom school at Malatgao Elementary School. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
