Built in1917, this was one of the 2 ambulances most commonly used by the U.S. Army during World War I. It operated in the U.S. and overseas. Features such as size and weight made it a less desirable vehicle than the Model T ambulance. As with the smaller Model T, this ambulance was shipped overseas disassembled and then reassembled upon arrival. It could transport 4 litter patients, driver and a corpsman at a speed of 20 miles per hour. This vehicle was built by the White Motor Corporation. It had a standard transmission and cost approximately $1,650.
