SAN DIEGO (Nov. 11, 2019) -- U.S. Army Col. Maxwell Colon (retired) stands with other members of the
Jewish War Veterans of America (JWVA) during an invocation prior to a ceremony in which JWVA's
chapter 385 donated hundreds of comfort items to the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) office located
at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD). This is an annual donation provided in honor of Veterans
Day for the patients at NMCSD. NMCSD's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of
operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services, and shape the future of military medicine
through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military
personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care
