Naval Medical Center San Diego active duty surgeons participate in the first training session since opening the Bioskills Training Center. The center opened on April 23 and supports operational readiness, patient care, and staff and resident medical education. Fifteen surgeons conducted Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma, a pre-deployment requirement course that trains surgeons in treating vital trauma injuries that are common in a combat environment.
