191113-N-HC646-0034 OAK HARBOR, Wash. (Nov. 13, 2019) Sailors attached to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 1 (EODMU1) conduct a backward roll entry into Crescent Harbor during a certification training exercise onboard Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI) Seaplane Base. NASWI's location and natural environment provides Sailors and Marines assigned to EODMU1's expeditionary mine countermeasure companies the opportunity to train their force in eliminating explosive threats at sea and from the sea using man-machine teaming with unmanned underwater vehicles and unique delivery methods, such as free-fall jumping and scuba diving.
