New York Army National Guard Soldiers of the Homeland Response Force for FEMA Region 2 move a simulated casualty through decontamination during an exercise for chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) incident response training at Lakehurst Naval Air Station at Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst in Lakehurst, N.J. November 15, 2019. Decontamination team members are assigned to the 642nd Support Battalion and cross-trained for the CBRN response skills needed for decontamination. More than 600 Soldiers and Airmen of the New York and New Jersey National Guard participated in the training to prepare for the task force capabilities to conduct casualty evacuation, decontamination and medical triage under CBRN conditions.
