Medical Readiness Training Exercises at San Juan de Sitio, Honduras

Soldiers of the Arizona Medical Detachment, Joint Forces Headquarters, are part of U.S. Army South’s’ joint “Task Force Tropic," commanded by Lt. Col Robert L. Jones, Missouri, Joint Forces Headquarters, in Honduras to support the U.S. Southern Command sponsored “Beyond the Horizon 2012," will be conducting two Medical Readiness Training Exercises and one Dental Readiness Training Exercise, over the next 10 weeks. The exercises provide health services to locals so the soldiers can sharpen their medical skills and help out the Honduran people in remote rule communities that need it. BTH is a joint foreign military interaction and humanitarian exercise. U.S. military engineers and medical professionals deploy to Honduras on two-week rotations over the four month duration of the mission for training and to provide humanitarian services, while honing the occupational abilities.
