U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Ricardo Tapia with 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 3rd Marine Division under the Unit Deployment Program, was pinned his current rank during a promotion ceremony in Aibano Training Area, Shiga, Japan, Dec. 1, 2019. The ceremony was held to recognize and honor Tapia for his hard work and dedication to the Marine Corps, as well as celebrate his promotion from staff sergeant to gunnery sergeant.
