191126-N-PG340-1124 OKINAWA, Japan (Nov. 26, 2019) Builder 1st Class Chad Davis, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, smooths concrete with a magnesium float at the ramp wing construction project for the K-Span Warehouse on board Camp Shields, Okinawa. U.S. Navy Seabees deployed to Okinawa with NMCB-5 are installing a ramp wing to improve operational logistics efficiency on board Camp Shields. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
