A Spanish Air Force AV 212B Eurocopter with 3rd Air Surveillance Squadron, lands on a platform during Exercise Valiant Wolf at Sierra de Retín, Spain, Nov. 25, 2019. The exercise combined the efforts of U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 20.1, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, Spanish Marines, Italian Marines, British Royal Marine Commandos who operated in joint teams. SPMAGTF-CR-AF is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
