191118-N-ES865-1001 ENNIBUR, Marshall Islands (Nov. 18, 2019) Steelworker 3rd Class Alfredo Betanzo, from Hesperia, California, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Marshall Islands, and local children from Ennibur, Marshall Islands pose for a photograph. U.S. Navy Seabees deployed with NMCB-5’s Detail Marshall Islands are constructing a concrete evacuation center that will serve as the local community’s disaster preparedness building. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
