An SH-60R Seahawk, embarked aboard a U.S. Navy ship, hovers overhead, during visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) operations in the Arabian Sea. The VBSS operation revealed illicit cargo being smuggled through international waters by an unflagged dhow. The U.S. Navy ship is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
