25th Infantry Division Lightning Academy soldiers and cadre conduct a helocast insertion from a U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter assigned to the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade during SPIE (Special Patrol Insertion/Extraction) at Bellows Air Force Station, Kaneohe, Hawaii, Dec 4, 2019. The Waterborne Operations Course consists of 5 active training days and is designed to familiarize 25th ID Soldiers with Helocasting and Waterborne Operations. During the course students will be introduced to Helocasting day&night, equipment familiarization and rigging, Caving Ladder extractions, CRRC insertions, and Wet SPIES extractions.
