PLYMOUTH, England (Dec. 6, 2019) - Chief Gunner’s Mate Damas Wilson, left, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), from London, Kentucky, conducts a personnel search during an anti-terrorism force protection exercise as part of the U.K.-led Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST), Dec. 6, 2019. FOST’s training is designed to prepare all types of navy vessels and auxiliaries for peacetime, peace-support, and war-fighting operations. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its seventh patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners as well as U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
