U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Robert C. White, Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Communication Strategy and Operations, briefs students concerning recruiting as a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) during a Lance Corporal Leadership and Ethics Seminar, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Dec. 12, 2019. The panel gave a brief description of what SDA they completed, as well as answered any questions the students had about SDA’s and the Marine Corps in general. Courses such as these allow Marines the opportunity to hear from senior leadership about various duty assignments and career development that have aided in their success.
