Elizabeth Ransom, program support specialist for Indiana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, had the opportunity to try her hand at rappelling during Employer Day at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center. The event, hosted by the Indiana ESGR, took several civilians, all recognized as supportive employers of National Guard and Reserve servicemembers, on a tour of the installation. Although nearly everyone in the group tried rappelling, Ransom was one of only a few who opted to try an advanced technique referred to as a 'spider rappel,' in which the person rappelling does so upside down.
