The Kaman K1200 unmanned aerial vehicle’s expedience makes it a preferred method for delivering small loads that are needed immediately to forward operating bases in southern Helmand Province, Afghanistan. The UAV recently replaced all water delivery combat logistics patrols to Combat Outpost Rankel. While a convoy takes five hours to get to the remote COP, the UAV took 10 minutes.
