WASHINGTON NAVY YARD (Dec. 17, 2019) – The Commissioner’s Trophy is displayed at the National Museum of the U.S. Navy onboard Washington Navy Yard. As a neighbor and community partner of Naval Support Activity Washington (NSAW), the 2019 World Series Champion Washington Nationals staff displayed the trophy inside the museum’s "Playball - Navy and the National Pastime" exhibit for a short-term engagement. NSAW invited the installation’s military and civilian personnel to view and photograph this emblem of the Nationals’ game-seven victory over the Houston Astros. Naval History and Heritage Command, located at the Washington Navy Yard, is responsible for the preservation, analysis and dissemination of U.S. naval history and heritage.
