U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Mario Zapatero runs with a pack on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 19, 2019. Marines from across the U.S. Indo-Pacific area of responsibility participated in a week-long screening to qualify for the Psychological Operations occupational field. As one assessment, Marines hiked 6 miles with a 35 pound-pack. Zapatero, a native of Vanderpool, Texas, is a distribution management specialist with 3rd Marine Logistic Group.
