U.S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Timothy Truitt, a boatswain's mate aboard the Coast Guard Cutter SPAR (WLB 206), and Petty Officer 1st Class Nicholas Catino, a maritime enforcement specialist aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Mellon (WHEC 717), conduct a mock boarding inspection as part of scenario drills held at North Pacific Regional Fisheries Training Center in Kodiak, Alaska, Dec. 13, 2019. This section of training wrapped up a five-day course that culminated in capstone scenarios where boarding officers must inspect vessel documents and logs, check safety equipment and determine compliance with applicable fisheries regulations.
