191210-N-QR336-1207 NARRA, Palawan (Dec. 10, 2019) Equipment Operator 3rd Class Vincent Aoki, from Hilo, Hawaii, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Palawan, uses a magnesium float on the concrete to fill in any holes and smooth out any bumps in the concrete for the new two room schoolhouse at Malatgao Elementary School. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
