U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Charles D. Luckey, chief of Army Reserve and commanding general, United States Army Reserve Command, connects with Soldiers of the 349th Combat Support Hospital at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Dec. 18, 2019. “Being present means wherever you are, be there,” Luckey said. “Don’t be thinking about other stuff. Don’t be looking down on your cell phone. Be where you are, look at people in the eye when you talk to them. And remember, it is awesome to be alive.” Luckey was visiting Kuwait as part of a battlefield circulation to make sure Soldiers and their employers know how important their mission, and their families, are to national security.
