191206-N-MD802-1100 ARABIAN GULF (Dec. 6, 2019) An MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the “Proud Warriors” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 72, takes off from the guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99) during a transit through the Strait of Hormuz. Farragut is part of the Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and is operating in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
