Capt. Mike DeWitt, commanding officer of Navy Operational Support Center Phoenix, hands a wreath to Battle of Midway veteran Henry Hight during a commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Midway at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza. Hight served aboard the cruiser USS Portland (CA 33) during the Battle of Midway. Portland helped rescue Sailors who were aboard the USS Yorktown (CV 10) before it sank. Sailors from the NOSC and Navy Recruiting District Phoenix attended the ceremony to remember, and pay respect to those who fought in the battle 70 years ago.
