Cpl. Anthony Cooper, an artillery cannoneer from 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, from Richmond Va., explains the characteristics of an M777A2 155MM Lightweight Howitzer to Terrence Zevnik and his son Adam at Gateway Plaza in Cleveland June 12, 2012. "I was in the Marines in 70-72, and my son has always been interested in military history. So when he heard it was Marine Week, he just had to come down," said Zevnik, while his son peered through the cannon's eyepiece. Marine Week Cleveland set up several static displays at Gateway Plaza which allowed locals an opportunity to see the Marine Corps vehicles and interact with the Marines who use them. Marine Week Cleveland ends June 17 and showcases the Marine Corps combat capabilities and community ties.
