A Coast Guard Port Security Unit 312 servicemember leaps into the water testing their ability to quickly shed their tactical gear and deploy the integrated flotation device on their law-enforcement belt during a water-survival training on Coast Guard Island in Alameda, California, Jan. 11, 2019. PSU 312 servicemembers spent the day in and out of the pool testing their equipment over and over again in order to earn their qualification needed to wear tactical inflatable side pouch personnel flotation devices which are compatible with their law enforcement gear.
