Lt. Col. Daniel Justus, the outgoing CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) Commander, receives the Meritorious Service Medal from Col. Martin Schmidt, the Commander of the 5th Armored Brigade, First Army Division-West, during the CRC transfer of authority ceremony held at Fort Bliss, Texas, on September 20, 2019. Under the 5th Armored Brigade, the CRC staff receives, processes, equips and conducts theater specific training for military personnel not traveling with their assigned units, Department of the Army Civilians, and contractors deploying to and redeploying from theaters of operations.
