Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island's Commanding General, Brig. Gen, James F. Glynn, addresses Marines of Headquarters and Service Battalion during a battalion formation on Parris Island, S.C., Jan. 3, 2019. The Depot's mascot, Opha May was promoted to the rank of corporal during the formation by Headquarters and Service Battalion's commanding officer, Col. Sean C. Kileen. In attendance were Brig. Gen. Glynn, his family, and depot Sergeant Major, Sgt. Major William Carter.
