Brig. Gen. Christopher A. McPhillips and Lt. Gen. H. Stacy Clardy converse during a visit with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, during a Field Carrier Landing Practice on Ie Shima island, Jan. 8, 2020. McPhillips is the commanding general of 1st MAW. Clardy is the commanding general of 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force. The visit allowed MWSS-171 to showcase their operational abilities and versatility.
