Kernice Locklear, 263rd Combat Communications Squadron (right), with an award during an all-call held at the New London, N.C. Air National Guard Base (NCANG) headquarters, Jan. 12, 2020. Members of the NCANG celebrated the accomplishments of Master Sgt. Judd Locklear who attended the United States Marine Corps Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Academy last year in an effort to better understand the traditions and customs of a sister service. Since attending the academies, Locklear has implemented U.S. Marine Corps. practices such as sharing unit history and helping newer Airmen feel more involved with more responsibilities.
