Rear Adm. Bruce Gillingham, Navy Surgeon General, recognizes Sailors during his visit to Naval Medical Readiness Training Command Pearl Harbor on 9 January 2020. Petty Officer First Class Jessie Christian Alday works at Tripler Army Medical Center in the Joint Patient Liaison Office as the leading petty officer. He leads six Sailors and assists the joint-service liaison office in the daily execution and coordination of medical and casualty evacuation, and patient tracking and admin oversight for patients admitted and ER patients for Navy and Marine Corps Commands across the WESPAC Region. He oversaw the successful planning and completion of a plane-side honor ceremony. His efforts led to a successful repatriation of remains from previous conflicts and expeditious return of deceased Sailors to their families for burial or cremation.
